The Ampair wind turbine is beautifully engineered. The blades are 1.8m in diameter with fully centrifugal stall control. The power electronics to grid connect are state of the art and in 5m/s smooth wind you should expect about £25 worth electricity a year - perfect for powering a remote location. 

Put another way - an average home spends about £25 per year on lighting, so this wind turbine would mean you are generating allthe electricity you need for your lights.

The Ampair wind turbine comes with a range of mounting systems for steel and brick structures as well as flat roofs and free standing poles. 

For educational school projects we sell it in combination with an anemometer and data logger and clever computer programme that brings the technology alive for the renewable energy generation. The system uploads energy and weather data to a website for sharing with other schools and home work projects.
