FAQ - Electric Solar Panels |
Is my home suitable?
If you have more than 7.5m sq of unshaded flat roof, or a pitched roof
that faces between SE & SW, then solar is a serious option for
generating electricity. You probably won't need planning permission.
Paul and Deb Norris have done it. You can too.
Do they make financial sense?
Until 6 months ago, we would have been doubtful and suggested that solar panels were a lifestyle choice; however solar panel prices are now falling; and there is good evidence that you will add value to your house if you have solar panels installed.
Did you know that three bed houses with solar panels at Gleeson Homes' Norfolk Park development sold for 8.6% more than identical homes without?
If you are a developer they are seriously worth considering.
Will it help the environment if I install solar panels at my home?
Yes. Solar panels produce no pollution and by using the suns energy you will be offsetting pollution that would have been generated by your utility company.
How do I get solar panels installed?
Complete our enquiry form, and our network of engineers wil be able to help you through the paperwork and install solar panels for you.
"I'd like to see every south facing roof in London covered in solar panels"
Ken Kivingstone, Mayor of London
