The Fortis Montana is the smallest turbine that makes financial sense.
The Fortis Montana wind turbine supplies enough electricity to make a significant dent in the energy bills of most rural houses. In 5m/s of wind it generates around £1,000 pa. The turbine is 5m across and output peaks at 5.8kW. Our standard installation comes with a 12m tower and 100m cable.
If the turbine makes too much electricity on a windy day then any excess is automatically exported to the grid. Most electricity companies will buy this from you, and you can get up to 15p per unit.
The blades are designed to be really quiet with a low tip speed - you really can't hear this turbine from 50m. Come and see one for yourself! It makes 1-3dB above the background noise.
Fortis turbines are manufactured in Holland in volumes that mean we can price the Montana very atrtractively. There are over 6,200 installed worldwide, and systems that were put up in the early 80s are still operating. This system comes with a 5 year guarantee.
We can offer you the complete solution - covering all the paperwork, foundations, installation and commissioning. Alternatively you can do much of this yourself to reduce the price you pay.
From £10,450-£17,950 depending the solution you require.
Addional items such as longer cabler runs, battery backup and taller towers are available on request.
