The Green Company provides a full range of anemometer services from budget cup anemometers to professional calibrated anemometers. We always recommend that prior to installing a wind turbine that you measure the wind speed, and turbulence at hub height in the proposed turbine location.
Our long term independent research across dozens of sites shows that wind forecasting techniques based soley on computer models can be up to 80% inaccurate. This is largely due to local turbulence casued by trees, buildings and steep slopes up to 500m from the turbine site.

A 4kW Domestic PV can be roof mounted on many homes. More reliable than a 6kW home wind turbine, with lower installation costs, lower maintenance costs and predictable output - this is our recommendation for the domestic market in all but the windiest of locations.
