The Eoltec Scirocco wind turbine is beutifully designed and engineered. It has 5.6m diameter high peformance blades which take the maximum possible amount of energy out of the wind for a turbine of its size.
The turbine was recently introduced to the UK market following successful tests in 100 mph hurricane winds on Orkney.
This system is really powerful for its size and price: a Scirocco wind turbine at a site with 6.7m/s wind according to NOABL made 25,438 kWh in a year. At an average site in the UK with 5m/s wind you should expect around £1,500 worth of electricity.
The standard system comes with a 12m tower.
Prices range from £19,350-£26,850 depending on the solution you require.
Taller towers, longer cable runs and battery backup systems are available on request.
